OFFF Barcelona 2026
OFFF Barcelona 2026 was an incredible experience for our team, soaking in the endless creativity and latest processes behind some of the best design minds in the world.
5 Talks We Loved
From growing a living brand system to experiencing breathtaking sound design, here's 5 talks that really inspired us at OFFF.
Dasha Plesen and Uncommon Studio - for growing a brand system by harvesting bacteria from creatives to create the visual identity for OFFF 2026
TACTYC - for showing us their process of combining Unreal Engine, Cinema4D, and Houdini to create stunning animations and visuals.
Echolab - for harnessing the power of sound design to create multi-sensory experiences.
Wiedemann Lampe - for highlighting the importance of designing a culture
Reuben Wu - for reminding us that craft and process are just as important as the final result
Dynamic Showreels
A recurring theme this year was showreels that pack a punch. With hard-hitting music, and rapid changes in speed when transitioning from project to project, showreels are becoming less of a summary of your work, and more of a cinematic "handshake", just as carefully considered as the designs featured in them.
Do the work you want to attract
A key takeaway from the talks at OFFF this year was the importance of passion projects as a deliberate creative strategy. These projects enable you to apply your skillset to new industries and deepen your technical skills.
It's easy, especially in a busy studio, to push these projects aside. Client deadlines take over, the inbox fills up, and the ideas that live outside your current brief get quietly shelved. OFFF was a much-needed reminder that passion projects are an important challenge, and an opportunity to connect with entirely new clients simply by showing what you're capable of.
Conclusion
Every year we attend OFFF, we are reminded not only of how much incredible work is out there, but also fired up to try out new technologies in the studio. This year felt especially engaging, and the sense of community at Barcelona was truly special. The conversations around identity, craft, culture, and the future of design were refreshing, and it's clear that the studios doing the most interesting work are the ones staying curious and making space for experimentation.
